Linker Elements

Linker elements connect functional protein domains or enable multi-gene expression from single transcripts. Flexible peptide linkers allow independent domain folding in fusion proteins, while self-cleaving 2A sequences produce separate polypeptides at near-stoichiometric ratios through ribosomal skipping.
