p65 Domain
Origin: Human NF-κB p65 subunit (activation domain)
Mechanism
Transcriptional activation domain from NF-κB p65. Recruits transcriptional coactivators and chromatin remodeling complexes. Synergizes with other activation domains in multi-domain fusions.
Characteristics
Strong transcriptional activator used in combination systems (e.g., VPR). More potent than VP64 alone but larger. Commonly combined with VP64 and Rta for enhanced activation. Particularly effective for difficult-to-activate genes.
