Characteristics

Enhanced AsCas12a variant with expanded PAM recognition beyond canonical TTTV sequences. Three point mutations (E174R, S542R, K548R) enable targeting of TTCN, TATN, VTTV, and TRTV PAMs while doubling on-target activity at canonical sites. Processes its own crRNA arrays for multiplex editing. Fits in single AAV (~3.9 kb coding sequence).
