Human ubiquitin C (UBC) promoter

Constitutive promoter from the human ubiquitin C gene; provides stable, moderate-level expression across most mammalian cell types with reduced susceptibility to epigenetic silencing compared to viral promoters.

Length: 1178 bp

Characteristics

Constitutive, ubiquitous expression in human and mouse cells; more resistant to CpG methylation-induced silencing than CMV. Widely used in lentiviral and episomal vectors for stable long-term transgene expression.
