Human CD68 macrophage scavenger receptor (CD68) promoter
Myeloid-lineage promoter active in macrophages and microglia, derived from the CD68 lysosomal glycoprotein gene. Supports immune cell–targeted expression but may show variable strength depending on promoter fragment and vector context.
Characteristics
Monocyte, macrophage, and microglia-specific promoter from the human CD68 gene. Commonly paired with intronic enhancer (SREK) for restricted mononuclear phagocyte expression.
