Mouse alpha-fetoprotein enhancer II/human beta-globin minimal (AFP/βglobin) promoter Chimeric alpha-fetoprotein/beta-globin liver promoter; active in hepatocytes with expression that decreases postnatally as AFP levels decline. Suitable for liver-targeted gene delivery requiring a developmental expression window.
Characteristics Liver-specific; mouse AFP enhancer II fused to human β-globin minimal promoter. Directs hepatocyte-selective expression in vivo. Used in AAV liver-targeted gene therapy vectors.
