Human skeletal muscle alpha-actin 1 (ACTA1) promoter Skeletal muscle–specific promoter derived from the alpha-actin 1 gene, driving transcription primarily in differentiated myofibers. Provides strong muscle-restricted expression with minimal off-target activity in non-muscle tissues.
Characteristics Skeletal muscle-specific; drives expression in differentiated muscle fibers. ~600–700 bp commonly used fragment. Used for muscle-targeted gene therapy constructs.
